It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Barb Stewart (Baechler) Born in Goderich Ontario and grew up in North Vancouver. Survived by loving husband Greg Devitt and their two children, Bryant and Jessica.
Barbs career in the airlines spanned over 40 years. Her strong work ethic was recognized by peers at Wardair, Canadian Airlines Hudson General and Air Transat.
Barb was retired and spent her last few years building her dream homes in Tiny Ontario and Tambor Costa Rica where she fell in love with the people and the country.
She will be remembered for her smile her genuine friendship and helpful attitude to others.

I was a close friend of Pauls for many years. Besides sharing the same schools (Sutherland and Carson) we spent several years playing music together in bands. Paul was a fabulous drummer and had a great ear for music. After Pauls band days finished, he and two other close friends built a project studio which did pretty good business. Pauls keen ear eventually got him a job as mix engineer at Bruan Adams recording studio in gastown.We had many laughs over the years and im glad to have known him!

My dad, Paul, was a hard working individual. When we were born (I am one of the triplets) he put his musiccareer on hold to take care of us. He had a passion for music that transcended to me when I was a teenager. I perform and study music to this day because of him.
I wish he was still here, because we would have so much to talk about, but I also know that even though he isn't here, I know he would be very proud of me.
Cheers to you, Dad. I'll never stop rockin'

It was a month ago that I saw Paul's name mentioned in his Mom's obituary but not until the reunion was it confirmed.
I met Paul in grade 8 at Sutherland Jr Sec playing in the band.
Miss Segar headed up the department, Paul played percusion, mainly the drums and more than once they had words. Paul had a very strong personality, I only ran into him twice after grade 12, the last time was on the news when his triplets were born.....

As a'74 grad I did not know Jeff but encountered him many times through the years. I got to know him first when we worked on the port's dock cranes in 2000. He seemed ill at ease working at the 200 foot height of this machinery but clearly enjoyed the social aspect of working with many others. He enjoyed socializing far above working to the point that we nicknamed him "four day Jeff". He liked his extra long weekends and the type of employment we had accomodated this with no problems. Within eighteen months he withdrew however and I only very occasionally encountered him. I suspected he was not well and knew he was dealing with sick and elderly parents. He had a son as well from a relationship but know little else. In this short time I knew him i considered him a friend. Jonathan Bishop

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Warren Randell Bradbury on Sept. 16th, 2021. Over the past month Warren’s health became fragile very quickly. He had just begun cancer treatment in Victoria when he succumbed to his illness.
Warren will be lovingly remembered by his partner, Karen Soper, daughter Melina and son Taylor, siblings Leanne (Mike), Judy (Gerry), Blair (Denise) and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Brad (2001) and Deanne (2020).
Warren was born on July 10, 1956 and lived the first 60 years of his life in the Lower Mainland, much of it in Coquitlam where he raised his family. In 2016, Warren made the move to Nanaimo to better share his life with Karen. Warren loved life on “the Island” - being out salmon fishing with Karen, trail walks with Darcy, having a beer and laughs with friends, summers at Sarina and Phil Kochs' cabin, or endlessly puttering around in his yard. Whether it was his many years in customer service at Sears and Home Depot, or simply doing another home project, he always liked to keep busy. Over the years, doing many home improvements, he acquired a broad range of useful skills which he freely shared when help was needed. Warren approached the world without pretence, and very seldom complained about life's challenges. He was easy to know, and his unassuming manner made it easy to be oneself in his presence. He will be dearly missed.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2022, details of which will be provided closer to the event.

I was so sorry to read about Cathy's passing in the North Shore News. I was looking forward to her again after so many years. I have such fond memories of her smiling face and laughing eyes. Cathy and I met at Hamilton in Grade 8 and we immediately liked each other. What was not to like? Such a disposition made it easy to be her friend.
